Frequently Asked Questions
For Zensei Law Clients
A regular retainer is an amount given by a client where services (hourly or flat rate amount varies) will be billed directly down from that amount. Retainers rollover from month to month until funds or service is complete.
BLOC is a monthly Pre-PAID, flat rate legal services plan. It is billed the same flat rate on the 1st of the month for the set time frame (6 months or 12 months). There are no rollovers but the membership term is renewable.
Depends on your needs. The GROW plan allows for one (1) document per month
OR if your timing is flexible, you may schedule out your document needs by month.
We offer 19 contract templates for you as part of the plan.
That’s ok. That’s also what we’re here for. Let us know as soon as the business issue arises and we will schedule a call ASAP. Once the call is scheduled, we can apply your issue meeting in lieu of your package standing meeting.
Depends on your needs. Schedule out your time and expected legal needs for your term limit.
- Will you need to file your Annual Report in month 3 of plan?
Great – use the scheduled meeting to discuss your annual Goals. - Will you need to hire new Independent Contactors in month 4 of plan?
Sure – use the plan to discuss your Independent Contractor needs with us. - Will you be on vacation during our standing meeting in month 6?
Have fun and no worries – let us know beforehand so we can reschedule for that month. Still recommend making that call so we know how your business will be operating during your time off. - Will you need to discuss the differences between your Contractor and a future Employee in month 2?
We can discuss the differences and come up with a game plan for your hiring decisions. - Will you need to discuss the new investment opportunities that just popped up?

Emergencies happen. We’re happy to reschedule one (1) time within the same month. Then the next 1st of the month begins a whole new billing cycle. Unfortunately, there are no rollovers. It is highly recommended that you make every standing meeting.
Great. It means you’re growing. Give us at least fifteen (15) days advance notice so we can bump you up for the next billing cycle. We will still hold you to same monthly term limit of 6 months or 12 months. You may change your plan up to 2 times but still need to keep the same meeting time and date.
Ex:
Sept 1 – Maintain plan
Sept 15 – Notice of change to Grow plan
Oct 1 – Grow plan billing start
Nov 1 – Grow plan
Dec 1 – Grow plan
Jan 1 – Grow plan **Option to renew is 30 days before plan end**
Feb 1 – Grow plan end of term
